On The Point Lake Rotorua is a boutique waterfront lodge that exudes luxury and serenity. Conveying these qualities through digital channels is vital in attracting guests to book a stay. Previously part of the Accor's Peppers collection, they sought a re-brand and new website to reflect their independence and 5 Star positioning.

The Client

Luxury accommodation property, On The Point Lake Rotorua, is located on the waterfront in Rotorua with unimpeded views of the lake and Mokoia Island. 

Up until 31 March 2023 the property was known as "Peppers on the Point" having been marketed through the Accor's Peppers Group. While the ownership and people haven't changed, they are now a fully independent lodge with the exciting opportunity to foster their own brand and marketing.

The Challenge

Having made the decision to leave the Accor's Peppers Group, it was vital for On the Point Lake Rotorua to ensure they could continue to attract future bookings without the support of a hotel marketing chain behind them. 

This new focus has provided them with the freedom and independence to position their property based on their own brand story and values. 

Being selected to deliver their new brand, marketing collateral and bespoke website with a blank canvas has been a great honour and inviting challenge for our team!

The Results

Creation of the On The Point Lake Rotorua brand involved firstly understanding their history and location, along with the property itself and the people. With views directly looking towards Mokaia Island this became a focal point and a core element of the visual brand. 

We made it our mission to ensure all aspects of their identity reflected the elegance, beauty and sophistication of the experience they offer to guests.

With all of this mind, we successfully created a full brand and visual identity that is applied across all aspects of their marketing, from the logo and website, to printed collateral, uniforms and signage.
